Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BuyerLens ("BuyerLens", "we", "us") collects, uses, holds and discloses your personal information. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

BuyerLens is operated by FALAH ENTERPRISES PTY LTD, ABN 11 699 139 225 ("the operator"). By creating an account or using BuyerLens, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, a securely hashed version of your password, the date and version of the Terms you accepted, and any administrator-recorded account status or suspension reason.
• Subscription and billing information: your selected plan, subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not collect or store your full card details.
• Information you enter: suburbs, properties, deal inputs, watchlists, portfolio details, exact property addresses you submit to the Property Risk Check, and Purchase Tracker information including any contact details you choose to record (e.g. your broker or conveyancer).
• Research Cases: the research preferences, candidate snapshots, scenarios, evidence history, due-diligence notes, professional questions and user-authored decision journal you choose to save. Printable dossiers are private to your signed-in account and are not public links.
• Research Coach conversations: the messages you exchange with the Research Coach.
• Usage and technical data: feature usage and message counts, successful login times, pages visited, referring website hostname, observed IP address and approximate location supplied by our network provider. This data supports security, reliability and aggregate operational reporting.
• Cookies and analytics: we use an essential cookie to keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type) and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. These tools use cookies and similar identifiers and process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook settings. Calculator inputs on our free tools are processed to produce your results and are not linked to your identity.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate and improve BuyerLens;
• To process your subscription and payments;
• To send service emails (for example, password resets and Purchase Tracker date reminders);
• To maintain security, enforce account access and acceptable-use rules, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We use website analytics and advertising-measurement tools (see "Information we collect"), but your account data — profile, Research Cases, watchlists, saved properties and Research Coach conversations — is never shared with advertisers or used to advertise to you.

Free checklist and calculator results: if you ask us to email you the suburb research checklist or your calculator results, we store your email address, request source, date and delivery count so we can fulfil and audit that request. Each request produces one email and does not add you to a marketing course or mailing list. BuyerLens retired its former optional five-part email course on 20 August 2026; no remaining course emails are sent. Historical consent and delivery records may be retained for audit and unsubscribe handling, including records previously synchronised with HubSpot. You can ask us to delete your address by contacting [email protected].

First-party funnel measurement: BuyerLens uses a random browser identifier to measure aggregate steps such as landing-page visits, pricing views, plan selections, requested resources, signups, checkout starts and active subscriptions. We store a one-way hash of that identifier, the event, page/source, limited non-identifying metadata and time. We do not store your IP address or email address in these funnel events. The identifier expires after 90 days.

First-party operational website analytics: separately from funnel events, BuyerLens records successful website page views so authorised administrators can see visitor volumes, popular pages and referral sources. These short-lived records contain the page path without its query string, the referring hostname rather than the full referring URL, time, a pseudonymous browser identifier, observed IP address and approximate location where supplied by Cloudflare. They are not used to make automatic account or eligibility decisions. Observed IP addresses are removed after 30 days and raw page-view records after 35 days.

3. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers who help us run BuyerLens, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing;
• Anthropic — processes Research Coach messages to generate responses;
• Our email provider — to deliver service emails;
• HubSpot — to store contact source and historical evidence of an explicit opt-in or unsubscribe for the now-retired email course;
• Our hosting provider — to host the application and database;
• Third-party property-data providers (including HtAG Analytics, the Australian Bureau of Statistics and state government open-data sources) — when you request suburb or market data, we send the relevant query (such as a suburb name) to retrieve results;
• Our geocoding provider (OpenStreetMap Nominatim by default, or another provider we configure) — if you use the Property Risk Check, we send the exact address you submit so it can be converted into map coordinates;
• Australian government hazard-mapping services — after geocoding a Property Risk Check address, we send its coordinates (not your BuyerLens account identity) to the relevant state or local government ArcGIS services to check available flood, bushfire and other hazard overlays;
• Google (Places) — if you use the Find a Pro feature, we send the search category and suburb to Google to retrieve business results (no personal information is included);
• Google (Analytics) — website usage measurement, as described in "Information we collect";
• Meta (Facebook Pixel) — advertising measurement and audience building, as described in "Information we collect".

We may also disclose information where required by law.

4. Research Coach

Your Research Coach conversations are sent to Anthropic to generate responses. Please do not enter information you would not want processed by an AI service, including sensitive personal information. As a safeguard, we automatically block messages that appear to contain card numbers, tax file numbers, Medicare numbers, bank account details or passwords — these are rejected before they reach the AI service or our logs. AI responses are general information and education only and may contain errors.

5. Where your information is stored

Your account and content data are stored on servers located in Australia. Some of our service providers (for example, AI processing) may process data overseas, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled appropriately.

6. Data retention

We keep account information and the content you create while your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your account, profile, Research Cases and their history, watchlists, saved properties, training progress and tracker for 12 months so you can return without losing your work. Accounts that are created but never subscribe are also retained for no more than 12 months after signup. At the end of the applicable period, the live account and its linked product data are automatically deleted.

Earlier deletion: you may request deletion of your account at any time (see "Your rights"). Once any non-terminal Stripe subscription or pending checkout has been resolved, BuyerLens removes the account and its linked sessions, product content, exact-address caches, usage records, login history, Research Coach quality telemetry, funnel records, checklist requests, course enrolment/delivery history and marketing-consent records from the live database. If course-consent evidence was synchronised to HubSpot, BuyerLens queues a permanent HubSpot contact deletion as part of the same deletion workflow. Payment and invoice records remain with Stripe where required for tax, accounting, fraud or dispute purposes.

Each Research Case keeps up to 25 saved dossier versions. If a new version is saved after that limit, the oldest dossier version is removed so the most recent 25 remain available. Deleting a Research Case removes its candidates, entries and saved dossier versions together.

Observed IP addresses in first-party operational website and login records are removed after 30 days. Raw website page-view records are removed after 35 days, successful-login history is removed after 180 days, and the pseudonymous browser identifier on funnel events is removed after 90 days. User-linked funnel and Research Coach quality records are deleted with the account.

Deletion applies immediately to the live operational database. Residual copies may remain temporarily in restricted disaster-recovery backups until those backups are overwritten or expire. Those backups are not used for ordinary business access and are available only for service recovery.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and hashing of passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may request deletion of your account. To make a request, or to raise a privacy concern, contact us at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

9. Children

BuyerLens is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date above.
